MAYFIELD INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

BASIC FUNCTION:

     Plan, organize, implement and coordinate a project, program or activity having significant impact on the District routinely affecting more than one unit or department; requires adaptation and interpretation of standard practices and procedures; contacts outside the unit require exercise of judgment to obtain approval.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTIC:

     The 21st CCLC Community Outreach/Data Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation of all aspects of the 21st CCLC center that they are assigned to lead.  They will participate in staff recruitment, training, and will directly supervise center staff required for successful delivery of the 21st CCLC program.  Their main objectives are to procure community support and resources and to collect and document data in CAYDEN.  They will collaborate with the Student Services Coordinator to see that requirements set forth in the RFA for daily implementation are successful and safe.

 

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

  1. Contact and schedule at least 2 volunteers each day that CAH is offered.
  2. Stay in constant communication with volunteers that are scheduled to remind them of the days they volunteer for. (contact the Friday before)
  3. Secure at least one Career Speaker for each week.
  4. Contact community for items needed donated for the program.
  5. Contact community for monetary donations needed for unallowable expenses for the program.
  6. Contact and document parent volunteers. (grant states that 25% of CCLC students will have a parent or caregiver volunteer in the program at least once a semester)
  7. Set up and implement Adult Education classes for parents of CAH; follow up, collect sign-in sheets & input Adult Education classes in CAYEN.
  8. Communicate with volunteers that lead an enrichment activity about materials needed for their activity each week
  9. Input attendance & enrichment attendance in CAYEN.
  10. Input Family Activities & Field Trips in CAYEN.
  11. Input staff, new students, partners, activities & sessions in CAYEN.
  12. Input student surveys in CAYEN.
  13. E-mail Cardinal Club points to Kelly Stinson on a weekly basis.
  14. Print off rosters for enrichment classes for each day CAH is in session.
  15. Plan activities (team building, life skills, etc…) for 20 minutes when there is no career speaker.
  16. Communicate with transportation & organize busing for students.
  17. Set up for CAH
  18. Make sure schedules and materials needed for enrichments are where they need to be.
  19. Schedule students & register new student
  20. Meet Data Review Report (DRR) Deadlines: 25, Jan. 25, April 25, July 25.
  21. Read emails & submit any other forms needed by KDE.
  22. Public Relations release every other month.
  23. Perform related duties as assigned.

     ABILITY TO:

  • Provide leadership to an activity having significant impact on the District, requiring interpretation of standard practices with significant contacts outside the unit while working under general supervision.
  • Provide technical assistance to District and school personnel in area of proper specialty.
  • Oversee the work of committees and task forces.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Prepare and deliver oral presentations.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Maintain records and prepare reports.
  • Compile and verify data and prepare reports.
  • Prioritize and schedule work.
  • Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements and restrictions.
  • Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field.
  • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an effective course of action.
  • Meet schedules and time lines.
  • Plan and organize work.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (Preferred)

 

Any combination equivalent to:  Bachelor’s degree with some graduate study in area of specialty and four years successful experience in area of assignment.
